A Castle in the Forest
A stone castle sits nestled 9,000 feet into the San Isabel forest it is an
amazing feet of human ingenuity. Jim Bishop has been building his dream for the past forty years. All of the work has been done by Jim himself with materials gathered from the surrounding area. This is truly an amazing place.

Gardners of the Spirit
“Help us to be
ever faithful gardeners of the spirit,
who knows that
without darkness nothing comes to birth, and'
without light nothing flowers.

Unexpected Gift
Last night I was able to photograph the moon at the elevation of eleven thousand feet at the top of Trail Ridge Road. Fortunately, the universe gave me two marvelous opportunities to experience moon and sun both at the same time. How wonderful is that? The past two days the Rocky Mountains have been covered with a smokey haze due to wildfires from Utah. Consequently, this haze has provided stunning images of sunsets along the front range. The particulates in the air given from the smoke, gives hues of reds and oranges as the sun sets behind the beautiful Rockies. The following image, the sunset, was taken a few minutes after photographing the above image of the moon. I think of the ying and yang of life as the moon on my left and the sunset on my right and finding the balance of life in the middle.
The best things in life are unexpected~because there are no
expectations.

Flight to Paradise
Spiritual progress isn't one of "getting somewhere," as there is not "where" to get. Instead, you're guided to transcend your ego and shed illusions so that the Truth stands revealed.

Turn Your Face to the Sun
Happiness lies in hope.
The moment might be happy,
but unless one could feel confident
in the hope that there would
be other such moments,
then happiness was worth little.

Mountain Meadows
This summer has been glorious for the blooming of mountain wildflowers. The cacophony of color is amazing as well as stands of white and green. The rain this season has been great for wildflowers, but in the two burn scar areas located south and north of our home the flooding has been devastating.

Rocky Mountain Big Horn
The magnificent Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep was designated official state animal of Colorado in 1961. Named for their massive, curling horns(which can grow to 50 inches in length) and known for their agility and perfect balance. The pictures here are of the Desert Bighorn Sheep which is a subspecies of the Rocky Mountain bighorn. Today there was a great number of people stopped along side the highway taking pictures of these sheep. Of course, I had to join the clicking of cameras as I was so delighted to see such a marvelous sight. What a joy to find these magnificent animals grazing along the mountainside. These sheep can also be seen on the out cropping of rocks along the highway.

God's Artistry
If there is one thing clear about the centuries dominated by the factory and the wheel, it is that although the machine can make anything from a spoon to a landing-craft, a natural joy in earthly beauty is something it never has and never will be able to manufacture.
