In some mysterious way woods have never seemed to me to be static things. In physical terms, I move through them; yet in metaphysical ways, they seem to move through me.

Free or Caged?
There are some things we possess,

The gift of Lenten practice -- whether taking on
or giving up --
has always been that it helps us to
understand
how the ways in which we spend our time, our
money, hearts, and energy
can become a cage instead of setting us
free.
