Morning Walk

Precious Opportunity

We live at the intersection of time and space; each moment a precious opportunity to choose wholeness or separation, hatred or love, blessing or cursing, accepting or rejecting-- the choice, whatever the circumstances, is ours.

Experiences and Grace

Grace likes to travel in disguise and keeps our world full of unexpected surprises. Dressed as divorce or disease and accident or a dead end job. She opens doors we never knew were closed inviting us to step where we never thought to tread; to discover hidden valleys and new heights within the shadows of our soul. Today she masqueraded as a wild turkey and a hungry coyote, allowing me to be the awareness of experience. The door is always open if we are present, and can at anytime tap into the boundless world of grace.

Old and New

There is an old barn along the lone countryside, where roots of life deepened but never died.

Rapid Water

During the high run off from spring snow melt, the river in front of our house here in Colorado becomes a torrent of white water at times. Today was a special surprise to watch the kayakers run the river. The strength and agility it takes to do this sport is amazing . The skill to navigate the rocks and swift water is something that I would like to learn. But I do think I will be satisfied to watch and photograph from a distance.
By six thirty this evening the river took on a slightly different feel. Emergency vehicles, life flight out of Boulder, and many rescue personnel were assisting a transport to the nearest hospital.

Lush Profusion

Drinking in the lush profusion, my thirsty soul releases a call to follow a path
that might lead to comfort and light and its endless quest for more. A call to depth need not be a call to darkness.
