Simply Nature

No individual exists in their own nature, independent of all other factors of life. Each has the totality of the Universe at their base. All individuals have, therefore, the whole Universe as their common ground, and this universality becomes conscious in the experience of enlightenment, in which the individual awakens into their own true all-embracing nature.
                                                        ~Lama Govinda

As Lama Govinda so eloquently puts it, enlightenment is an experience in which all of the essential relation becomes more that knowable, it becomes an essence to essence, a pre-existing spiritual quality of Oneness  that is enlivened. Imagine that beneath our fear, and distrust there is a stream of ongoing Oneness, and the only way to enter is to take our distrust and experiences good and bad and enter the stream with the complete knowing we are loved and held by ever flower, rock, and stream in which our consciousness is ever present beyond just the knowable.
