Smoke in the Rockies

Estes Park Colorado mountain smoke haze

Smoke Haze from Trail Ridge Road

Even though the range of the Rocky Mountains make beautiful images, the smoke haze has been hanging over the front range for the last five weeks. There has been just a few days in which the beautiful blue skies seem to prevail. There have also been days that the haze obscured the view of the mountains, where only a faint outline could be seen. Thirteen fires from Colorado, to the Pacific Northwest, to Wyoming, Nebraska, and the Dakotas help contribute to the haze conditions.
We are the natural solution. The Earth is a resource created by God for humans. We must harvest and manage our resources. If we don't mother nature will make us pay the price one way or the other. Record-shattering heatwaves, wildfires and freak storms are a sampling of what is to come in 2013 a window to the future.
